Ruth Kinzer Johnson, 77, of the 4900 block of West Park Drive, West Des Moines, died of cancer Saturday at home. The body was cremated and memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Plymouth Congregational Church, of which she was a member.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Grinnell and had lived in Des Moines area most of her life. She had been the co-owner and operator at Johnson Pet Hospital and was a member of Iowa Antiques Association.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin E.; a son, Calvin K. of Booneville; two daughters, Mary Ann Eckey of West Des Moines and Nancy Huston of Houston; a brother, James Kinzer of Toledo, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or her church. Neptune Cremation Society of Iowa is handling arrangements.
