She was born October 1, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas to Merle and Hazel (Wood) Annis. Barb married Burton Grimm on December 19, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2014.

Barb was formerly employed at Buda's Grocery Store and Jack Frost Ice Cream Parlor.
In addition to her husband, Barb was preceded in death by her son, Michael Grimm; two sisters, Beulah Adams and Melba Phillips and two brothers, Melvin and Dave Annis.
