Mr. Cornelius Brown, 58, of Crossett, AR, died Monday, December 28, 2015 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was a native of St. Louis, MO, a resident of Crossett for 41 years, a member of First Baptist Church, and an employee of Georgia Pacific Paper Mill as a Machine Operator.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his mother Hattie Mae Ross. Cornelius was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who truly enjoyed being with his family. He loved doing carpentry work and watching old western movies. He was a real sports fan that enjoyed watching basketball, baseball, and his favorite football team the New Orleans Saints.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Doolrecy Brown, his father, David Brown of Chicago, IL; two sons: Chadwick Brown, wife Myrysha of Crossett, AR; and Cornelius Brown Jr. of Crossett, AR; two daughters: Marquetta Brown of Crossett, AR; and Chelsey Brown-Thornton, husband Jonathan of Crossett, AR; mother-in-law, Clarice Penix of Crossett, AR; two brothers: Paul Anthony Brown, wife Sandra of Crossett, AR; and David Brown Jr., wife Marie of St. Louis, MO; five sisters: Phyllis Monroe of Milwaukee, WI; Karen Mitchell, husband Thomas of St. Louis, MO; Renee Crawford, husband Jack of Crossett, AR; Candy Smith, and Janice Brown both of Crossett, AR, nine grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Services are 1:00 PM Saturday, January 2, 2016 at First Baptist Church on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, with Reverend Curtis Jackson, officiating. Pallbearers are Paul Brown Jr., Mario Brown, Stan McDade, Cliffton Hawkins Jr., Edward Brown, and Draco Brown. Honorary Pallbearers are Derrick Williams, Coangelo Herman, Christopher Washington, Orlando Hayes, Julius Ebarb, Toney Blankenship, Rodney Wade, Mario Moore, Quitin Carolina, and Tony Ray Williams. Interment in Westview Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, January 1, 2016 from 4-6 PM at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
