Janice Berry Smith, 74 of Nellysford died peacefully on Wednesday January 6, 2016. Born November 11, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Annie Gray Berry.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Roger Smith, daughter, Norma Truslow and brother, James Berry.
She is survived by three daughters; Linda McDaniel (Lary), Diane Purvis (Jim) and Tammy Matheny (Jerry); grandchildren, James, Jennifer, Dianna and Christine; great-grandchildren; Austin, Jacob, Amber, Nathan, Kari-Ann, Alyssa and Aimee; son-in-laws; William "PeeWee" Truslow, Bliss Wade and Arthur "Monk" Truslow.
The family wishes to offer a special thanks to the staff at Lovingston Health and Rehab., especially Angie and Trina.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Rev. Rob Mansfield officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
