Calvin Oril Bacom, Sr. was born in Antioch, CA to Vivan and O.J. Bacom on Sept. 12, 1942. He passed away on December 29, 2015 in Merced, CA. In his younger years he loved to be with his friends playing pranks on everyone. He also loved being a big brother, he would always take his sister on his dates and other places. Calvin was an active member of the EVC Clampers for 25 years. He worked at the Wire Basket as a foremen in the Metal Shop for many years. He also worked at JR Woods as a mechanic for 3 seasons. He worked for the family business at Bacom's Used Cars with his father and then for his brother.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Patty) Bacom, his son Calvin Jr. (Buck), daughters, Shannon Ingalsbe and Dorine, brother, Gary Bacom (Ingrid), sister, Debbie Waller (Geary), 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 7 sisters-in-law, 6 brothers-in-law, his ex-wife, Linda Boesch, many nieces and nephews and long time close friends. He is preceded in death by his mother; Vivan V. Bacom and his father; O.J. (Bac) Bacom, brother; Jesse T. Bacom, daughter; Tracy Morgado, mother-in-law; Dorine (Westlake) Sheeves and father-in-law; James Westlake. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1 PM at Winton District Cemetery. A reception to celebrate Calvin's life will follow at Evergreen Christian Church, 5935 N. Winton Way.
