Robert was born June 15, 1943 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of David and Alma Summers Anderson. He married Mary "Kathy" Musick on Aug. 7, 1982 in Funks Grove, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife; stepsons, Keith Anderson and Kevin Anderson and three sisters, Janet (Vince) Long, Betty Jane Anderson and Mary Eastham.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Anderson.
Robert served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He went on to work for PPG Industries in Lincoln and then Crown, Cork and Seal, retiring from there after several years of service.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was also a member of the Lincoln Rail Splitters Coin Club.
