Charles T. Flanigan, 51, 403 William Street, died in Rome Hospital at 1:20 am today. He had been in poor health for some time but death was unexpected.

Mr. Flanigan was born January 12, 1896, in Scranton, Pa., son of Lincoln and Susan Hutchinson Flanigan. On April 11, 1920, in Tunkhannock, Pa., he married the former Miss Ann Ayre, with the Rev. James Rainey, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating.

Educated in Pennsylvania schools, Mr. Flanigan was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Scranton.

Mr. and Mrs. Flanigan came to Rome in 1928 and in 1945 celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. He attended the First Baptist Church. An electrician, he was a former employee of Rome Air Depot.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Steven Tanasovich, and Miss Margaret J. Flanagan, Rome, two sisters, Mrs. Caspar Moore, Scranton, and Mrs. Steven Melioris, Rome, two brothers, Lawrence Flanigan, Taberg, and Francis Flanigan, Rome and a granddaughter, Jane Helen Tanasovich.
