Ernest J. Marcoux, Jr., 65, of Manchester, husband of Heidi (Peetz) Marcoux, died Sunday January 3, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Middletown, the son of the late Ernest J. and Loretta May (Harris) Marcoux, Sr. He retired from Pratt & Whitney in 2009 as a jet engine assembler and was a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge 1893. He excelled as an athlete in football, track and field. He loved his Busch (beer), his Murielles, a good card game, a superior horse shoeman and the CORN HOLE CHAMP of Old Saybrook
In addition to his wife, he is survived by hisdaughter, Wendy Marcoux of Manchester; son, Ernest “EJ” J. Marcoux, III, of Manchester; a brother, David Marcoux of Middletown; four sisters, Debora Marcoux of Middletown, Sharon Stocking and her husband Wayne of Haddam, Bonnie Roberts and her husband Richard of Higganum, and Tammy Robinson and her husband David of Cheshire; a grandson, Nicholas A. Salvatore; also several nieces and nephews.
