Luther Harney, 60, of 1510 Chartres, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday [April 5, 1970] at his home. He was a native of Cynthiana, KY, a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Nicholas Co., KY, and an employee of Hoosier Panel Company. Survivors include his wife, the former Louise Richie; a son, Donnal R. Harney, New Albany; two daughters, Mrs. Diana Klingsmith, and Mrs. Geneva Tindel, both of New Albany; two brothers; three sisters and 12 grandchildren. Funeral, 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dieckmann Funeral Home. Burial, Graceland Memorial Park.
