Robert E. Baldwin obituary:


Robert E. Baldwin, of New London, WI,  age 79, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2006, at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton, WI,  following a lingering illness. Bob was born on September 25, 1926, in Kansas City, Missouri, son of the late Lafayette and Leta (Rankin) Baldwin.


On September 1, 1945, he married Anne Jagielo in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Bob and Anne moved to New London in 1960. He was employed at Kawell Motors in New London and FWD in Clintonville until his retirement.


Bob was a World War II veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army Military Police, and was discharged as 1st Lieutenant. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a member of the New London Fish and Game Club and the NRA.


Bob is survived by his wife Anne;

two daughters: Linda (David) Koeller, Shawano, and Julie (Anthony) Valencia, Brookfield;

two sons: Michael (Virginia) Baldwin, Whitefish, Montana, and Paul (Barbara) Baldwin, New London;

a brother, Rollie (Juanita) Baldwin, Kansas City, Missouri;

three sisters: Lillie Ann (Sam) Flora, Harrisonburg, Virginia; Velma June Swan, Kansas City, Missouri and Connie (Gene) Willmette, Greenleaf, Oregon;

eight grandchildren: Katie, Bob, Thad (Rachel), Marisa, and Joey Koeller, Forrest Baldwin, Whitney (Gabe) Carter, and Megan (Adam) Helt-Baldwin;

and one great-granddaughter, Genevieve Koeller.


Bob is preceded in death by two sisters: Viola DaPisa and Arlene Shatten; and a brother, Lee Baldwin MIA World War II.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King. Military graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
