Shirley Ann Keech, 80, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2016. She was born January 28, 1935, in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Donald and Martha (Frye) Bonds.
Shirley was an administrative assistant for many institutions throughout her life. She was a founding member of the Belmont Baptist Church and enjoyed crafts and cooking. Her smile and laughter lit up the room and was contagious to all. She was a good mother, grandmother, and Christian. She was very fond of the Lincoln and Belmont communities, and along with her husband, donated Keech Park.
Shirley is survived by her son, F. Robert Keech and his girlfriend Doylene Christian; son, Don and wife Nancy Keech; granddaughter, Megan Keech; sisters, Delores Wilson and Barb (Glen) Dalby; brother, David (Suzanne) Bonds.
She was preceded in death by husband, Franklin Keech; and her parents.
Funeral services on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Roper and Sons Chapel. Burial of ashes at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois, at a later date. Memorials to Belmont Baptist Church.
