PATRICIA ANN SLOAS, 82, of Wheelersburg, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 1, 2016, at Concord Health and Rehab Center.

Born on January 5, 1933 in Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Cecile Puckett Kitchen and worked as a nurse’s aide at Scioto Memorial Hospital. Pat attended Central Church of Christ.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Donald B. Sloas, and a sister, Helen Swearingen.

Surviving are a son, Rick (Teresa) Sloas of Westerville; a daughter, Vicki McCleese of Wheelersburg; two brothers, Joe (Barb) Kitchen of Tipp City and Jerry Kitchen of Christianburg; a sister, Betty Justice of New Boston; four grandchildren, Ben (Jenny) Sloas, Tyler Sloas, Tracy (John) Paul, and Matt (LeaAnn) McCleese; and six great-grandchildren, Kaylea, Hannah, Isabella, Lila, Fletcher and Harris.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the BRANT FUNERAL HOME IN SCIOTOVILLE with Dennis Dawes officiating. Interment will be in Wheelersburg Cemetery. The family will receive guests at Brant’s from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorial gifts may be made to In Touch Ministries.

Pat’s family wishes to thank the staff of Concord for the caring and loving attention she was given these past six years.
