Betty Blanchard Swinney, 79, of Warren, Texas, passed away, Thursday, January 1, 2016 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 5:30 – 8:00 pm at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 2 pm at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with Brother James Swinney officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery in Woodville. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Swinney, Caleb Swinney, James Blackshear, Mark Blackshear, Jacob Blackshear, and Samuel Blackshear.
Betty was born September 23, 1936 to Earl Paul Blanchard, Sr. & Valerie Irene Bourriague Blanchard in Port Neches. She was a retired administrative assistant for B.F. Goodrich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Paul Blanchard, Sr. & Valerie Irene Bourriague Blanchard; brothers, Warren Blanchard, Jackie Blanchard, Jerry Blanchard, and Melvin Blanchard.
Betty is survived by her husband of 45 years, Carl Wayne Swinney of Warren; daughter, Sheri Hammons & husband, Terry of Warren; brother, Earl Blanchard of Warren; sisters, Nancy Seaman of Buna, Shirley Dean of Woodville, and Jane Grudier of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Shelby Frizzell, Chelsea Hammons; step grandchildren, T.J., Tyler, and Amanda Hammons.
