She returned to the angels on December 30, 2015 after a prolonged illness. She was seventy-five.
Sharron married Kent Williamson Whitney in 1958. They had four children: Jeffrey Kent Whitney (Timothy), Gaylynne Hunter, Jackie (Scott) Dimick, and Barry Adams Whitney. She married Perry Rees in 1971, where she became mother to Bryan and Desiree, who had recently lost their own mother. She cared for Bryan during his illness with leukemia until he succumbed to it in 1974. She married Richard Frank (Frank) Orgill in December 1975; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She has now joined Frank in Heaven.
She enjoyed singing with in groups, choirs, and duets. She was a feisty lady and she will be missed.
She is survived by an older brother, Ralph Emerson Adams, and her four children who all love her and will miss her. Sharron has ten grandchildren: Angie, Shauntel, Brad, Whitney, Jacob, Josie, Adam, Ben, Sammi, and McKenna; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Whittier Ward Chapel, 1515 South 200 East. Viewings will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, and prior to the services at the church on Monday from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
