Jeraldean "Jerry" Evans Milner
1924 - 2015

Early Life: Jeraldean "Jerry" was born on September 5, 1924, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Joseph D. Evans and Mary Dale Beck Evans. Living through the Great Depression and World War II had a tremendous effect on her life.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Marrying a military man, Blair G. Milner, just prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor, made the war real from the start. Moving from military base to military base was a way of life for many years, ending at the United States Army Base at Fort Ord. After Blair's discharge, in 1947, Salinas, California, was to be their home for the next 50 years. In 1962, Jerry began working for the Nestle Candy Company. Being surrounded by chocolate and wonderful friends was a rewarding workplace for her for the next 26 years. For many of those years, the weekends were dedicated to building a home-away-from-home in the mountains. After retirement, spending time with the family at their "cabin" was a dream come true. Hard work and sacrifice resulted in the cabin becoming a real tribute to Jerry and Blair's love of family and our country's natural beauty. Following Blair's death in 1997, Jerry was ready for a change. With better weather in mind, she moved her roses and kitty to Anthem, Arizona, in 2003. With the help of her granddaughter and family, the next 12 years were a great addition to her life. "Gramma Little" was always "up for anything" - babysitting, baseball games, school activities, going to "Elvis," road trips to Laughlin, and the cabin. She had survived many health battles with grace and determination. Regardless of the difficulties, there was always a wink and a twinkle in her eye. She always thought of others first, by understanding, loving and giving anything she had to offer. With a warm and gentle little spirit, she was endeared by everyone she met. Jeraldean Evans Milner shared her last Christmas with family and closed her eyes to this world on December 26, 2015, after a short bout with pneumonia. She was 91.
Family Message: " 'Bless your heart' for inspiring and helping us through our lives; you are ready for your next journey … and it is safe for you to tap dance now. We will miss you dearly!"
