Marvin B. (Whitey) Walton, 80, Florissant, Mo., formerly of English, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at 1:20 p.m. at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
A native of Paoli, born May 31, 1926, he was the son of the late Ollie and Alta Bennett Walton.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a retired school bus driver for the Paoli Community School Corp. for 14 years and a member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Bridgeton, Mo.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, the former Elsie Apple on June 5, 1970, and Lesta Edwards on Feb. 13, 1971, and three sons, Larry Dean and Timothy Ryan Walton and Mike Ludlow.
Survivors include four daughters, Judy Abell of Pittsboro, Bonnie Ludlow of Avon, Susan Hohman of Dixon, Mo., and Sharon Cummings of Florissant; three sons, Gary S. Walton of Hurricane, W.Va.; Brent Walton of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jim Ludlow of Lizton; a brother, Ernie Ollie Walton of English; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli with burial in McDonald Chapel Cemetery in English.
Officiants: Brothers Fred Stanger and Gary Tracy.
