Mrs. Sara Virginia Akins, 62, of Cartersville, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at her residence.

Born February 22, 1951 in Cartersville, she was a daughter of the late Henry Buck Akins and the late Ally Cordelly Akins. Mrs. Akins was of the Baptist Faith and loved flowers and plants. She enjoyed crocheting and collecting dolls. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Mary Akins.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Revels of Cordele, Georgia Harold and her husband Eddie Kincannon, and Tina Kincannon and her husband Tommy, all of Cartersville; brothers, Franklin Akins of Kingston, Roy Akins of Rome, Billy Akins of Cartersville, Henry Akins and his wife Thelma of Cordele, George Akins and his wife Martha, Milton Akins, and Bobby Akins and his wife Marie, all of Cartersville; sisters, Aloma Fields of Rome, and Ethel Ramirez of Tennessee; grandchildren, Kimberly Kinard, Terry Craig, and Christopher Blalock and his wife Jenna; great-grandchildren, Alvin Kinard, Ryder Harrell, Alisa Kinard, Marley McBurnett, and Lukas Beau Blalock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Dewayne Mullinax officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
