He was born on Monday, 07 March 1932 in De Kalb, Mississippi and was the son of Willie Ray Wilson and Minnie Opal (McLelland) Addy.
Billy was raised by his grandparents, Albert Brown and Essie May (McLelland) Brown, in the small town of Blackwater, Mississippi.
He later joined his mother and stepfather, Opal Addy and Ezra Addy, in Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended Tech High School and graduated Class of 1953.
Billy met Pamela Catherine Gavlak, while they were both working at Marian Hospital in 1961 and they married on Saturday, 15 December 1962.
He served 20 years in the United States Air Force and during the Korean War earn the rank of master sergeant and retiring from the service on Saturday, 30 June 1973.
Billy immediately returned to the workforce as an Operating Room Technician at Valley Community Hospital in Santa Maria, California and retired in September of 1999.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 53 years of marriage, Pamela Catherine (Gavlak) Wilson, his son, Anthony Todd Wilson; daughters, Catherine Ann Wilson; Rebecca Marie (Wilson) Weber and Ann Marie (Wilson) Looysen, sister, Sylvia Hutchens.
