Mrs. Scussel was born in Enfield, the daughter of the late Gabriel and Carmela Santanella. Ann was an avid card player who was always ready for a game and a laugh. Her humor and ability to laugh at life will always be remembered. She talked her grandson into taking her to the Casino many times looking for the "Big Win." Ann was predeceased by her husband Aldo Scussel on Mar. 23, 1973. She is survived by a son, Anthony and daughter-in-law, Roseann Scussel of Stafford Springs; and a daughter, Elaine and son-in-law, Guy Hobart of Southington; a brother, Nicholas Santanella; and a sister, Evelyn Roberts, both of Enfield; four grandchildren, Anthony and wife Sharon Scussel, Angela and husband Sean Alton, Aaron and wife Lora Hobart and Sarah and husband Brian Boswell; and three great-grandchildren, Hannah and Eve Alton and Jack Hobart; several nieces and nephews including Jean Roberts, and Marion Ouellette; and a special friend, Jean.
