OBITUARY: The Council Bluffs Nonpareil (Council Bluffs, Iowa) December 14, 1943:
PAINTER DIES OF A BLOOD CLOT
Marion Fuquay, 74, a painter, collapsed in the hall outside of his room at 9 North Twelfth street, Monday.
The emergency unit administered first aid in an effort to revive him. Dr. E.C. Weir, called to the scene, pronounced him dead on arrival. Coroner L.H. Tyler later said that death was due to a blood clot near the heart.
Formerly of Neola, Fuquay had been a resident of Council Bluffs for many years. He was divorced several years ago, friends said. His survivors are not known.
The body is at the Tyler funeral home and funeral arrangements are pending the location of relatives.
