Wnlisted in Company A, 101st Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry at 36 Years of age for a 3-moth term of service. Discharged on a Surgeon's Certificate of Disability at Cleve,and Ohio, September 2, 1863. Reenlisted in the 12th Ohio Independent Battery, Ohio Light Artillery, at 39 years of age, September 3, 1864 and was Mustered Out, July 10, 1865 at the end of his term of service.

Invalid Pension applied for March 11, 1879. Issued as Certificate #268080.

Widow's Pension: Applied for by Anna Bradley, July 22, 1882. Issued as Certificate #207161.
