Mr. Magee was reared in the Mt. Moriah community where his parents , the late Mr. and Mrs. Irving Magee, lived and he held a business position in Brookhaven in his youth.
Funeral arrangements were made from Hazlehurst, home city of Mr. Magee's brother, John I. Magee. Mrs. Maxie Magee and members of the Magee family connection came to Mount Moriah from there.
Among Brookhaven people attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Middleton, whos daughter, Miss Dorothy Middleton, played the piano, and Mrs. Walter Leggett.
Mr. Magee was first married to Mamie Hoskins of Brookhaven, Mississippi. They were the parents of a daughter, June Magee. June Magee was married to Walter Winchell. June and Walter Winchell were the parents of three children; Gloria Winchell, Walter Winchell, Jr. and Walda Winchell.
