Patricia Ann DeMott Tucker age 86 of Moultrie died Monday, December 28, 2015 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Woods and Mr. Dickie DeMott officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Casketbearers will be Luke Miller, Keith Stewart, Nick Brown, Stephen Ramey, Wesley Brown and Sam Branch. The First Baptist Church of Moultrie Joy 6 Adult Sunday School Class will serve as honorary casketbearers.
Born October 15, 1934 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Russell DeMott and Lurline Lewis DeMott. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Moultrie and the Joy 6 Adult Sunday School Class. Mrs. Tucker was a homemaker and a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Perry Tucker; a son, David Tucker; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph Russell DeMott, Jr. and wife Hazel, Lewis Ervin DeMott and wife Marilyn and George Ronald “Billy” DeMott; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy DeMott Morrow and husband Don, Lila DeMott Barrentine and husband Luther, Barbara Jean DeMott McQueen and husband Gene; a son-in-law, Randy Miller.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Miller of Moultrie and Pamela Coursey of Sylvester; a son Russell Tucker of Moultrie; a step-daughter, Cynthia Tucker; six grandchildren, Angela Ramey, Luke Miller, Kellie Bishop, Wesley Brown, Nicholas Brown and Jamie Branch; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Charles R. “Dicky” DeMott and wife Cora of Thomasville, Roy Phillip DeMott and wife Barbara of Spartanburg, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Audrey Bell DeMott of Moultrie; several nieces and nephews and other family members.
