Funeral services for Mr. Gene R. "Pa" Beach, Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2006 in Trinity Baptist Church, Oakdale with Reverend Tony Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakhill Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale. Mr. Beach, 69, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 in Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Alexandria. Gene was a United States Army Veteran with eight years of service and a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he worked in the Food Bank. He never met a stranger and was liked by all. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandy Beach Ware. Survivors include his loving wife of forty-eight years, JoAnn Beach of Oakdale; one son, Gene R. Beach, Jr. of Oakdale; two brothers, George C. Beach of Lenoir City, Tennessee and Ted Beach of Johnson City, Tennessee; two sisters, Helen Mae of North Carolina and Sandra of Florida; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Friends may call at Trinity Baptist Church, Oakdale on Thursday, September 7, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2006.
