Glynn Lee Klingman, 83, a former resident of OKC, passed away Sept. 6, 2006 in Hawthorne, FL. Glynn was born April 15, 1923 in Sterling, OK to Lester & Beulah Monsey.

In 1940, at the young age of 16, Glynn married Vernice Klingman. During their 25 years of marriage, they resided in Rush Springs, OK, where Vernice worked for Noble Drilling. After their divorce, Glynn worked as a skilled hairdresser in Rush Springs and later in Marlow, OK for 10 years at Glynn Beauty Shop. In 1984, she moved to the south OKC area, where she went to work for Montgomery Wards Hair Salon until her retirement in 1997. In 2003, Glynn started experiencing complications with her heart and had to have heart surgery in 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother, Lonnie Joe. She leaves wonderful memories with her son, Londel Klingman & wife, Ruth; daughter, Jerry Chambers; grandchhildren: Kent & wife, Sheila, Kip & wife, Kay, Desira Chambers Hernandez and husband, Carlos; 1 great-grandchild, Kaden Hernandez; brother, Johnny Monsey & wife, Ruby; Niece, Lana; nephew, Johnny Lee; special cousins: Vada Lockhardt, Myrna Warlick and Yvone Monkres.

Graveside services will be held Sat., Sept. 9, 2006 at Sterling Cem. in Sterling, OK.
