29 Aug 2006: Shirley L. Ishler, 76, Bellefonte, went to be with the Lord Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born Sept. 15, 1929, in Milesburg, she is the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Isabella Shay Breon. On Aug. 18, 1962, in Wellsboro, she married Paul W. Ishler, who survives at home. She was employed at Weis Market in Bellefonte, doing various duties such as cashier and stocking shelves. She retired after 22 years of service. Shirley is survived by daughter Sheila L. Corl and her husband Larry L. of State College. She was preceded in death by daughter Linda Lou Tate; three brothers, Laird, Mahlon and Merrill Breon; sister H. Louise McKinley; and two infant sisters. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Bellefonte, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star in Bellefonte. She loved nature. Service Friday, Sept. 1, at First Presbyterian Church in Bellefonte, Rev. Douglas Elder officiating.
