Lena K. Ingram, 84, of McAlester, died Thursday, April 27, 2000, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Born January 18, 1916, in Spiro, to Thomas Baxter and Mamie VanMeter Ferrell, Lena married Edgar J. Ingram in 1935, in Tulsa, OK. She lived for many years in Tulsa and lived in McAlester for the past 20 years. She retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie R. and Alice Ingram of McAlester, two grandchildren Michele Brumley of McAlester, and Dr. Richard Ingram of Wilburton; three great grandchildren, Spencer and Bryce Ingram and Christin Brumley; a step-daughter, Juana VanDiver of Tulsa, two sisters, Pauline Smyke of Atlanta, GA. and Lorene Warren of Olympia, WA.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Edgar and three brothers, Jimmy, Dee, and Jerry Ferrell.
Graveside services will be at 1pm Monday at Oaklawn Cemetery in Tulsa, with Pastor Art Wilson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
