Francis George Wickman, 77, North Fourth Avenue East, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 1994, in St. Mary's Medical Center.
Born In Duluth, he was a Cathedral High School graduate and a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a grain trimmer on the docks on the Great Lakes and ocean vessels for 44 years, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church and its Club, the Knights of Columbus and
the International Longshoremen's Association. A daughter, Joanne Almer, died in 1965. Survivors include
a daughter, Elaine Shepherd of Duluth; a son, Russell of Springfield, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 10
great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. services Monday in St. Mary Star of the Sea
Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dougherty Funeral Home.
