Geneva began working as a telephone operator for SW Bell Telephone in the 50's. In the early 70's, she became one of the first women to break into technical areas with the phone company that were generally reserved for men and she pioneered the way for other women.
After her retirement from AT&T in 1984, Geneva helped and served others in several capacities for many years along with spending time loving and helping with her grandkids. She was a strong advocate for higher education and supported her children and grandchildren in receiving the education they needed to become successful. She was passionate and unwavering in her encouragement of them to achieve their dreams and goals. Geneva was a woman of great faith and love for her Heavenly Father.
She is survived by four children, Diana Wright and husband Michael, Barry Cotter and wife Maureen, Jerry Cotter and Terry Cotter and wife Susie. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; David, James, Maura, Coleen, Nick, Chris, Karen, Candace, and Katrina, 3 great grand babies and her brother Bob and wife Barbara.
