Russell M. Wilsey
(Died December 27, 2015)

Russell M. Wilsey, age 84, of Milan, Michigan passed away Saturday, December 27, 2015 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Livingston in Howell, Michigan.He was born in Cone, Michigan September 12, 1931 the son of Mervin and Pearl (Auten) Wilsey. After graduating from high school he joined the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. His enlistment was from 1952-1954. He attained the rank of corporal. He then married Jean Johnson on June 18, 1960. Sadly she passed away October 31, 1985. Russell was employed at the Ford Motor Company Rawsonville Plant where he retired in the early 1980’s. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle which he still owns; enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at Mio; bowling in leagues; was a member of the former Fraternal Order of Eagles in Milan. He was also an active Civil War Re-enactor. His survivors include his son Mark Wilsey and daughter in law Shannon Harvey of Howell. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean, stillborn son, brother Myrl Wilsey and sisters Mary Frances Bame and Lucille Janette Freeman. Friends may call this Wednesday from 2-8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee(734-529-3156) Services will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Miller. Interment will be held at the LaSalle Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
