Life's Work/Service/Interests: She married Lawrence Everitt Prevost on August 5, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah. On April 13, 1957, their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Utah LDS Temple. Lorna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings, but her favorites were always working with the children as Primary Teacher, Primary President, and Stake Primary President. She also loved being a Visiting Teacher. She enjoyed being a full-time homemaker. Later in life, she had the opportunity to work at Allen’s Bakery and Signetics. Lorna had a talent for making crocheted and handmade items for family and friends. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren received baby booties, baby dresses and blankets as gifts from Grandma. She loved watching BYU sports and the Utah Jazz. She was an enthusiastic and loyal fan. Lorna Beth Ahlstrom Prevost passed away peacefully on December 18, 2015, surrounded by family members. She was 90 years old.
Survived By: One daughter, Linda (the late Douglas) Tripp; two sons: Lawrence “Bud” (Tamara) Prevost and Keith (Carol) Prevost; ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; and two half-sisters, RaVon Pawley and RaMon Perry.
