She was the wife of John L. Hotzman, to whom she was married 8 years on September 30, 2015. She was preceded in death by husbands Herman Shiner and Francis Brocious.
Born in Mt. Aetna on December 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Stanton and Mary (Balsbaugh) Miller.
A 1948 graduate of Myerstown High School, Betty was employed as a secretary at Peiffer Machine Services, Mt. Aetna, for many years until retirement. She previously worked for the Mt. Aetna Orchard and Michter's Distillery in Schaefferstown.
Betty had a strong faith and loved the Lord, and enjoyed shopping and traveling.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, Stephen, husband of Marjorie Shiner, of Rehrersburg, Thomas, husband of Joan Shiner, of Delaware; a granddaughter, Mary; great grandchildren, Larry and Emily; a brother, Earl, husband of Grace Miller, of Myerstown; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Miller, and sisters, Lora Warlow and Sallie Hower.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment at the Frystown Cemetery, Bethel Twp.
