Dave worked for the Frankfort Fire Department for 26 years, including 10 years as Lieutenant and 4 years as deputy chief. He was an EMT 28 years and EMS director 17 years. He was loved by all in Clinton County.

David C. Elliott, 48, Frankfort, died unexpectedly at 11:51 a.m. June 29, 2002, in the emergency room at St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.

Mr. Elliott was born April 21, 1954, in Frankfort to Carroll and Janice Van Tyle Elliott. He married Vicki Miller on May 20, 1977, and she survives.

Also surviving are his parents of Frankfort; and a sister, Sally Nekolite of Plymouth.

A son, Doug, preceded him in death.

Mr. Elliott worked for the Frankfort Fire Department 26 years, including 10 years as lieutenant and four years as deputy chief. He was an EMT 28 years and EMS director 17 years. He was a member of the Fire Fighters Pension Board, member and vice president of the Fire Fighters Union NO. 705 and was safety director for the Clinton County Courthouse.

He also was a member of the Local Emergency Planning Committee, EMS Council, Leadership Clinton County, Mental Health Association, Moose Lodge NO. 7, Frankfort Eagles, Clinton County Historical Society, Share the Food program and St. Matthew United Methodist Church, where he served on various committees.

He was a graduate of Frankfort High School and owner of Firelite Chimney Sweeps. He had coached and managed Little League and Babe Ruth teams and a former umpire and groundskeeper for both leagues.
