Kenneth August Stumpf, age 64 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away quietly on Saturday, May 23, 2015. He was born on July 25, 1950 in St. Louis, Mo., a son of the late Ardwynne W. and Mildred C. (Gegg) Stumpf. On July 14, 1973, Ken was united in marriage to Frances F. Trupiano of Detroit, Mi. Ken was a 1968 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in St. Louis, he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Detroit. Following graduation, Ken worked as an engineer for the city of Mount Clemens, Mi. before taking employment with Black & Veatch in St. Louis where he worked for 22 years which included a three year international assignment to Cairo, Egypt. In 2005 Ken began work for Bartlett and West Engineers in Jefferson City, a job he truly enjoyed. Ken was employed there up until his death. Ken was a devout catholic and an active member and volunteer of numerous organizations throughout his life including the Knights of Columbus, Boy Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, the church choir, APWA, Tau Beta Pi and MSPE. Survivors include: his wife of 42 years, Fran Stumpf; their three sons, Mark (Jaime Pomeroy) of Moberly, Mo., Christopher (Rebecca) of St. Louis, Mo. and Stephen (Virginia) of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Arthur (Susan) of St. Louis, Mo. and Gregory of Denver Colorado.; and three grandchildren, Calvin August Stumpf, Hazel Marie Stumpf and William Arthur Stumpf.
Services: Funeral Mass at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, Ellisville, Thursday, 11:00 a.m. Interment at Saints Phillip and James Cemetery, in River Aux Vases, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: Habitat for Humanity and Boy Scouts of America New Horizons District. Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road, Ballwin, Wednesday 4:00 until 8:00 p.m.
