Mr. Smail was born September 6, 1930 in Leechburg, PA, the son of Paul and Esther M. (Klingensmith) Smail. He married Nancy J. Tevorrow on August 30, 1952. He was retired from P.P.G. Industries. He was a Pennsylvania National Guard Veteran, was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was active in the Methodist Men's Group. He was a master mason in the Stephen Decatur Lodge and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He had a great love for gardening, hunting and fishing.
