Mrs. Levicy Reneau, one of the oldest landmarks of Blount died near Hancock a few days ago. Giving her history would be almost giving the history of Blount County as she had been one of its residence for more than fifty years.

Louvisa BYNUM was born 1811 in South Carolina, and died 1898 in Blount County, Alabama. She was buried 1898 in Antioch Methodist Cemetery in Oneonta, Blount County, Alabama. She was the daughter of daughter of John BYNUM and Rhoda "Rody" MURPHREE.. She married Samuel T. RENEAU 14 OCT 1830 in Blount County, Alabama, son of William Thomas "Hattie Bill" RENEAU , Sr and Catherine Sarah CALLISON. was born 1804 in Blount County, Alabama, and died 1847 in Missouri. He was buried 1847 in Antioch Methodist Cemetery in Oneonta, Blount County, Alabama.
