Mrs. Julia Wilemon King
Mrs. Julia King, 77, of Rt. 4 Oneonta, widow of J.W. King, died in a Gadsden hospital on Saturday, July 12. She was reared in Blount County and was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Clowdus Wilemon.
Mrs. King was first married to J. P. Huie, who died more than thirty years ago. She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God.
She is survived by five sons, Houston, Homer, Hoyt, Quincey, and Howard Huie, all of Gadsden; five daughters, Mrs. Syrena Wadsworth and Mrs. Fannie Dailey, Rt. 4, Oneonta, Mrs. Emma Thomas, Boaz, Mrs. Essie Shoats, Texas, and Mis Helen Wilemon, Eden; three brothers, Rev Worthy Wilemon, Rt, 2, Oneonta, John Wilemon, Greenville, S. C., and Garfield Wilemon, Sylacauga.
Funeral services were held at the Antioch Methodist Church on Sunday, July 13th, at 2:00 p.m. and were conducted by Revs. Alton Blakely and Raymond Maxwell. Interment in adjoining cemetery with Lemley Funeral Chapel directing.
