The funeral of Mrs. KATE McPERSON PARMLY, who died Wednesday in New York City, was held Friday afternoon in All Saints Church, this city. Interment was made in Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Mrs. Parmly, who was the widow of Jahial Parmly, a former president of the Wilcox and Gibbs Sewing Machine Company, died early Wednesday morning in her apartment at the George Washington Hotel in New York after an illness of twenty months. She was 87 years old.

Mrs. Parmly, who was born in Frederick, was a descendant of Samuel Washington, brother of George Washington, first President of the U.S., and was a grandniece of Dolly Madison, wife of President James Madison. No immediate members of Mrs. Parmly's family survive, a sister, Miss Margaret McPherson, having died several years ago. Mrs. Edward La Montagne of Mexico, D.F. is a niece.

Mrs. Parmly's first husband was Dr. James B. Hunter of Philadelphia. After his death she was married to Mr. Parmly, who died in 1923.

James E. Barney, of Little Neck, LI, husband of Mrs. Parmly's grandniece accompanied the body to Frederick. Harry E. Carty Company were the funeral directors.
