An LPN and homemaker, she most recently worked for former Hospice of Lancaster County for 13 years. With her husband, she was deeply involved in church work. Her compassionate nature was known to many.
Lois is survived by her husband, James C. Bucher; four children, J. Calvin Bucher, husband of Rebecca, Brenda Long, wife of Daryl, J. Kenneth Bucher, husband of Ylande, and A. Kathryn Bucher; 10 grandchildren, Kristopher, Karyn, Kevin, Kristieana, Charles, Tiara, Tory, Talitha, Ymonie, and Joshua; four great grandchildren; three siblings, John Myer, husband of Gayle, Charles Myer, husband of Kay, and Rachel Miller, wife of Glen; and a brother-in-law, Richard Landis. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Landis.
Her family wishes to thank all those who have helped with Lois's care in the last years of her life.
A memorial service will be held on Monday evening December 28, 2015 at 7:00 PM at East Petersburg Mennonite Church, 6279 Main Street, East Petersburg, PA. Private interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive guests at the church on Monday from 5:30 PM until the time of the service.
