Robert Anderson, 92, of Jasper, Texas passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 at his residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Shultz Funeral Home with interment to follow at Egypt Cemetery in Tyler County. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
A native of Newton, Texas, he was born on August 7, 1923 to Robert & Eula Anderson. He was a Veteran of the Army and served his country in WWII, where he achieved the rank of Corporal. He married Billie Gibson on January 9, 1948. Before moving to Jasper in 1979, he was a resident of Kountze, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his son Phillip Lynn Anderson.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Billie Anderson of Jasper, Texas; sons Charles & wife Phyllis Anderson of Kountze, Texas, Tim Anderson of Jasper, Texas, and Andy Anderson of New Orleans, Louisiana; daughters Reba & husband Mike Jordan of Houston, Texas Brenda & husband Joe Higgins of Longview, Texas, Angela & husband John Raney of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Torrie & husband Otis Fulgham of Kountze, Texas; a sister Erma Anderson of Jasper, Texas; as well as nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
