Funeral services for Max D. Easter 77 year old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in The Church of Christ in Weatherford with Aaron Looney and Wayne Ray officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.

Max was born to George Cleveland and Ferna Maye (Royal) Easter on January 14, 1938 in Hollis, Oklahoma and died on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was raised in and attended school in Elk City. During school, Max started working at the Hewlett grocery store. He met Linda Morey and later married her on June 8, 1958 at the Merritt Church west of Elk City. They made their home in Elk City and Max started working for United Super Market in 1965. In 1966 they moved to Enid where he continued working for United Super Market. In 1970, they moved to Weatherford where he continued working for United until retiring in 2005. Max enjoyed coaching little league baseball, Genealogy, gardening, the Wild West and trains. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Western Plains Genealogy Society, Custer County Historical Society and the Weatherford Historical Society. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home; four sons Ken Easter and his wife, Judy of Hollister, Oklahoma, Mike Easter and his wife, Jana of Gainesville, Georgia, Tim Easter and his wife, Pat of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Mark Easter of Gulf Port, Mississippi; one daughter, Cindy Zimmerman and her husband, Todd of Mt View, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Terry Easter and his wife, Toni of Amarillo, Texas; as well as numerous cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Maye Easter; one son, Alan; one granddaughter, Ashley Denise; one brother, Stan.
