Lovetta was born on January 6, 1932 in Erick, OK to Quannah and Katherine Manning. She was raised in Erick, where she graduated from Erick High School in 1950.

She then married Richard Shelley on October 31, 1951. He preceded her in death in 2007.

She enjoyed watching and collecting all types of movies as well as her extensive collection of frog ceramics. Her friends and family knew her to be funny, sharp witted and always quick to make you smile. Most of all, Lovetta devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Dana Shelley and wife Denise of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Terrie Blasi and husband James of Wichita Falls; her twin sister, Juanita Kemper of Amarillo; son-in-law, Ken Spencer and wife Milisa of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren, Chris Cates, Morgan Shelley, Tarah Watson, Jordan Harper, Whitney Spencer and Shanen Jarmakovitz and her beloved pets, Molly and Susieana.

She was preceded in death by her Parents; husband, Richard Shelley in 2007 and daughter, Kathy Spencer in 1999.
