He was born in New Britain and lived in Kensington since 1932. He worked at International Silver Co. in Meriden for 38 years, retiring in 1984.
He is survived by a son, Eugene Reckert of Bellingham, Mass.; two daughters, Sharon Reckert Woynar and Sandra Roy. His wife, Mary Musick Reckert, died previously.
