Mrs. W.F. Ebbitt, Dies At Age 80
Mrs. Berenice Ailman Ebbitt, 80, of 5 Hope St., was declared dead yesterday at Newport Hospital where she was taken by the Fire Department Rescue Squad after being stricken at a nursing home on Ayrault Street. She was the widow of W. Frank Ebbitt.
Mrs. Ebbitt was a member of the United Congregational Church. Born in Newport November 27, 1888, she was the daughter of Samuel and Augusta Seatle Ailman.
Mrs. Ebbitt leaves two sons, Paul F. Ebbitt of Newport and David R. Ebbitt of Middletown, and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hambly Funeral Home with the Rev. John Dorney, pastor of United Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Island Cemetery.
