Kenneth I. Peebles, age 77, of Bonduel, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, at his home.

Kenneth was born on Sept. 30, 1929, in Navarino, the son of the late George H. and Ferol (Peck) Peebles. After graduating from the Bonduel High School in 1946, he worked as a machinist in Milwaukee. On April 24, 1948, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Schmoldt in Milwaukee. After his marriage, Kenneth continued to work in the Milwaukee area for about ten years until moving back to the Navarino area to become a dairy farmer. In 1964 and 1965 he was honored by Shawano County Jaycees as an Outstanding Young Farmer. In 1990 he went to work at the Pick-n-Save Mill Shop in West Allis until retiring in 1996. Kenneth served on the Board of Directors for the Federal Land Bank for 25 years and was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino.

Kenneth was preceded in death by: his son, Marvin in 1955 at the age of three; his parents; three sisters; and ten brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Navarino with the Rev. Lisa Safford officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday after 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

The Peebles family wishes to thank the Shawano Community Hospice for all the loving care given to Kenneth as well as the rest of the family during his illness.
