POW 5/24/1861 Alexandria, VA.; Paroled & released 6/7/1861. POW again 9/11/1861; Absent, still prisoner on Roll dated 10/6/1862.
Present on Roll dated 12/31/1862.
Transferred into Company I, 11th Virginia Cavalry on 2/1863.
Hospitalized 9/29/1863 - 10/21/1863 with intermittent fever at Charlottesville, VA.
Mortally Wounded In Action 6/24/1864 at Nance's Shop, VA.
