Mrs. Kate A. Delany passed peacefully away at her quiet home at Wilberforce this morning Jul 11, 1894, at 6:45 o'clock. Though 72 years of age she was active and went her usual round of household duties on Saturday. She was born 1822 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and was married in 1843 to Dr. Martin R. Delany, whom she has survived 8 years, 5 months and 27 days.
She leaves five sons and one daughter with many loving friends to mourn their loss. Her children are respectively, Toussaint 'O., A. Dumas, St. Cyprian, Fanstin Son Louque, Pacido R. and Hallie A.
Mrs. Delany in company with her husband moved from their residence in Canada to Wilberforce in 1864 for the purpose of educating their children and have resided here ever since. Due notices will be given with reference to the funeral service.
