She is preceded in death by her parents, W.T. and Mamie Cantrell, siblings: Aubrey Cantrell, Dorothy Earp Fannin, Wyvonne Cornelius, her beloved husband, Paul Davidson; and son-in-law, Bill Cass.

She was blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Natalie Young, Jacob Baxter, Jack Young, Ryder Baxter, Wade Young, Sawyer Baxter, and Edward Paul Bruno.

Kathrin loved Texas. She attended schools in various Texas towns as her father helped to build the roads across Texas. When she was in the fourth grade, the family settled in Crane, TX where she later graduated from Crane High School as the Valedictorian. Kathrin, Paula, and Gigi shared the honor of being the Editor of the El Ave Yearbook in their respective years at CHS.

She met the love of her life, Paul Davidson, at the movie theater in Crane, TX. They married on September 10, 1948 and were married for sixty-seven years. She was a faithful, dedicated wife who delighted in taking good care of him every day. They were blessed with two daughters, Paula and Helen.

Kathrin loved reading and education. She earned her BS in Education from Sul Ross State University and her Master's in Education from Texas Tech University. She was hired as a fifth-grade reading teacher in the Crane School System and retired after twenty years. She was well known for her eye-catching bulletin boards and display cases at the school. She was active in the Crane Garden Club and Texas Retired Teachers.

She and Paul were dedicated members of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. She shared her love of Jesus by helping others. Kathrin was a talented seamstress, cook, artist, and hostess. She and Paul opened their home to friends, missionaries, and evangelists as they traveled through Crane. Many of her friends and family are enjoying the oil paintings she shared with them. She had the gift of hospitality.

The last five years of her life were spent in Ruston, LA. We will forever be grateful for the loving care given by the staff of The Arbor and Terrace where she resided.
