Aleda Faye Swartzendruber, slipped into the presence of Jesus, the one she loved and faithfully served, on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Springfield.
She was born to John T (Bud) and Bertha (Heiney) Sharpton on January 15, 1942 in Galva, KS. She attended schools in Kansas and Nebraska, graduating from Kimball County High School, Kimball, Nebraska in 1960. She attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo. She was employed with the National Assemblies of God Women’s Ministries office from 1963 until her retirement in 2002.
She was married to Harold “Chuck” Swartzendruber on September 1, 1984 in Springfield. She enjoyed traveling with Chuck and listening to southern gospel music. She was a lifelong, loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan!
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Kenneth, Wayne and Johnnie Sharpton and sisters Glenna Donaldson and Marie and Agnes Elliot. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Kevin (Lisa) Swartzendruber and 2 grandchildren Hannah and Nicholas, brother, Orville (Donna) Sharpton and sisters, Elsie (Stanley) Bright and Linda (Ken) Davidson.
Service at Eastlawn Cemetery in Springfield, MO.
