Residence Stanly County NC; 17 years old.
Enlisted for the duration of the war on 3/27/1862 at Albemarle, Stanly County, NC, he was mustered into "K" Co. NC 28th Infantry as a Private.
Listed on 8/12/1862 Receipt Roll for $50 Enlistment Bounty.
He died of "fever" at Richmond, VA.

The 28th Infantry Regiment was organized and mustered into Confederate service in September, 1861, at High Point, North Carolina. Its members were from the counties of Surry, Gaston, Catawba, Stanley, Montgomery, Yadkin, Orange, and Cleveland.
